Thirteen players from the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy Tarsha Gale Cup (Women's U19s) will feature in representative sides in the Harvey Norman Women's National Championships in May.
The entirety of the starting side that represented in the 2021 Tarsha Gale Cup Grand Final have been selected to represent New South Wales City, New South Wales Country, Queensland Rubys and Queensland Sapphires in the U19s competition, as well as the First Nations Gems in the Open Age competition.
Maddie Binding, Iesha Duckett, Otesa Pule and Zoe Cass have been selected in NSW City, while Charlize Lloyd-Phillips, Tayla Montgomery, Ruby Smith and Taneka Todhunter have been selected to represent NSW Country.
Jazmon Tupou-Witchman has been selected in the Queensland Rubys, while Courtney Tamati and Keilee Joseph have been named in the Queensland Sapphires squad.
Rease Casey has been selected as a shadow player for QLD, while Tymekqwa Duckett has been selected in the First Nations Gems.
The four NSW and QLD sides have been allocated into two pools along with Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia and Northern Territory.
New South Wales City and Queensland Sapphires will go up against Western Australia and Victoria in Pool A, while New South Wales Country and Queensland Rubys will take on Northern Territory and South Australia in Pool B.
The First Nations Gems side will play against Victoria, Northern Territory, Western Australia, South Australia and the Australian Defence Force.
Tarsha Gale Head Coach Blake Cavallaro is thrilled to see so many Roosters representing the Club in the National Championships.
"It's a great reward for all the hard work the players have put in since pre-season began in November," Cavallaro said.
"I'm looking forward to seeing how they perform at representative level and I'm proud of each and every one of the girls after what was a great season in the Tarsha Gale Cup.
"I know they will do themselves, their families and the Club proud in the tournament and it's a great stepping stone in their own development and the development of the Women's game."
The event will be held between May 20-23, with a venue still to be confirmed.
